Nick is the author of "Cambridge - Treasure Island in the Fens" now available in Chinese. He is on a China tour promoting his book. He'd love to me with alumni for a chat and drinks.

The book reveals why some scholars fleeing from Oxford in 1209 settled in Cambridge and not in one of the more educationally established cathedral cities.

More details on the book are on the Cambridge Alumni web site and Amazon

The book is available in China at the following: Amazon, JD, Dang Dang

About Nick: I am really an academic-manqué and now write for a modest living but have been a business man in large corporations and then on my own account. I'm actually now also a columnist for The Chinese Weekly - translating the mysteries of Cambridge for their readership and sending back my cultural impressions when with you. So I hope for inspiration when with you!
